While the cider within a can or bottle is the most important aspect of the drinking experience, the label is the first thing to draw one’s attention to the item on the shelf. In an effort to tell the story of the artists that create these works of art and take a deeper look into the thought process of creating a label’s design, we are holding our 2022 awards for best label art and designs, specifically.
Cideries can only submit a single label for consideration so make it count! The design does not have to be a label designed or created in the last year. Just please be certain this is a cider that is currently in rotation and will be for the next few months — at a minimum. This can be for either a can or bottle design, too.
Cideries or fan’s of a particular cider can send us a submission. Send all submissions to team@ciderscene.com.
In the submission email, make sure to submit the artist’s name (if applicable), a brief 3-4 sentence description on the art direction or inspiration for the design, and a png/jpeg of the label itself. If you are an individual that likes a cider and doesn’t work there, submit the cider’s name, why it is interesting to you, and the label if you can find it (If not, we can get it from the cidery).
Submissions are due by 6/17.
We will have our winners selected and detailed by the end of May. Everyone will be mentioned in the piece and we will promote the heck of it this! Some of our top award winners will receive additional promotion as their prize. We will get with winners to discuss what that entails!
If you have questions or want to submit, you can send those to us at team@ciderscene.com.
