June 27, 2019How to Start a Cidery in 867 Easy Steps
July 11, 2019I’m sure you’ve all seen the increase in certain types of ciders this summer, like the rosé craze. Today I wanted to talk about some of my favourite ciders that are a little less spoken of.
Berry ciders. Since the weather is warming now, I crave the hints of fruit flavours. Some of my favourite summertime flavours include citrus and berry — not usually together that would be a great combo.
For now, I am going to speak about some ciders that are definitely not unberryable to drink. Get your sweet tooth ready for my favourite berry ciders of the summer:
1) Brickworks Field & Berry
Description: “Field & Berry tastes like an all-Canadian fruit salad you drink with your mouth. Crafted by adding juice from blueberries, strawberries and raspberries to perfectly balanced cider.”
Made in Toronto, Ontario
ABV: 5.5%
Style: Sweet
2) Annapolis Earl Blue
Description: “This unique combination of Earl Grey tea and Nova Scotia wild blueberry juice expresses sophisticated aromas and a burst of wild flavour in this off-dry cider.”
Made in Wolfville, Nova Scotia
ABV: 7.1%
Style: Semi-Dry
3) Kopparberg Mixed Fruit
Description: “Bursting with blackcurrants and raspberries, Kopparberg Mixed Fruit spoils you. Rich and indulgent with an effervescent energy, it’s best served cold over mountains of ice.”
Made in Kopparberg, Sweden
ABV: 4%
Style: Sweet
4) Rekorderlig Wild Berries
Description: “Rekorderlig Wild Berries Cider is a contemporary cider with the flavor and fragrance of wild blueberries and raspberries. It is best served cold over ice.”
Made in Sweden
ABV: 4.5%

My favourite out of the four is definitely Kopparberg’s Mixed Fruit as it is so easy to drink but definitely higher in sugar than the rest. If you’re ready to enjoy the summer with this amazing berry ciders, look up where you can get them and start sipping!
