Hard Cider Instagram Accounts

The world of cider is an ever growing community of makers, tasters and those interested in the craft.  While not everyone in the business has a blog like CiderScene does, there is access to a great community that are spreading the good word at your fingertips!  We have found Instagram to have some of the most active cider enthusiasts in the world and have decided to make a log of all these cider folks so you can send them a follow and see different ciders from across the globe! 

By supporting these accounts, we can continue to grow the industry and get all new cider fans into the mix! Also, these accounts are in no particular order.

CiderScene

Started by twin brothers in 2016, Trevor & Nolan O’Malley wanted to create a space where individuals that like cider or even individuals trying it for the first time can go to learn about what ciders they may like. Our goal is to open beer and wine drinker’s minds when it comes to the craft of cider making.

More broadly, we are cider enthusiasts that are following the cider revolution in North America and exploring the changes in the cider scene and our company name comes from just that term. We do everything in good fun, trying to take an unorthodox approach to the industry to spark conversation and innovative ways to active the cider & non-cider audiences on the web.

Theciderseeker

My name is Kyle and I am The Cider Seeker. I live near Cleveland, Ohio with my life partner Ashley and our daughter. My cider journey started in 2011 like many others – with sweet, commercial cider. I enjoyed it, but wanted cider with less sugar and more character. By 2016, fine cider was becoming more accessible, and my interest grew into a passion. I’ve been seeking orchard-based and harvest-driven ciders at home and everywhere I go ever since.

I started making cider at home in 2016, and I’m now in my 5th season of home cider making. In 2018, I passed the American Cider Association’s Level 1 Certified Cider Professional exam, and in April of 2020, I passed the Level 2 exam, earning the title of Certified Pommelier™.

When this started, I used @TheCiderSeeker to take notes on ciders that I tried. It’s evolved into a platform to engage with, relate to, learn from, and meet great friends in the cider community. I plan to continue to seek new ciders, refine my own, and be a positive contributor to the cider community. The @TheCiderSeeker will grow with us on this journey, but tasting notes, information, and adventures are guaranteed. We’d love for you to follow along!

Incidersam

I’m @incidersam and I’m from southern Ontario, Canada. I wish I was kidding when I say I’ve always been really interested in product photography, but I’m not! Mix that with my increased alcohol intake due to a global pandemic, and you get my Cider page. I’m combining some of my hobbies (photography & drinking!) and publicly reviewing some ciders along the way.

Three Guys and a Cider

Three Guys started as a fun little YouTube project between three best friends, meant to showcase some ciders found at the local liquor store. However, after finding that the cider selection was small, the Three Guys took it upon themselves to expand their cider search. This sparked an interest, which quickly became a passion, to go search for the greatest ciders around the globe. The Three Guys have tasked themselves with a mission to bring awareness to craft cider and the people behind the scenes. Follow AJ, Adrian, and Patrick on their journey to get craft cider onto shelves everywhere.

Cider of the Night

My name is Mike Shay and I have been running the Instagram account, Cider of the Night for the past 3 years. On this page I review ciders, post about cider events I attend and host & most recently I have started having a weekly IGLive series, I call Cider of the Night Live (I know super original…). On CotN:Live I host a different cidery each week and chat about cider, exciting happenings and life.  A little about me and my cider journey… I started drinking cider about 5-6 years ago, when I was searching for a cheaper alternative to mixed drinks since I didn’t like beer at the time, that’s when I found Angry Orchard. After drinking AO for awhile I decided to expand my horizons and explore the world of cider and I haven’t look back.

PNW Incider

My name is Shannon Glenn and was born and raised in Aberdeen, WA (the home of Kurt Cobain and not a whole lot else). I have only strayed from the PNW area when I was working through my undergrad at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I have worked in different community outreach roles for 5 years and love everything involving the people that make this world a better place. In my downtime, I love to travel to new places and jump in the kayak with a nice dry cider and a sunset.

Cider United

Colleen runs the Cider United Instagram page. Cider United reshares content from existing cideries, cider makers, cider reviewers and cider enthusiasts! Her main goal is to bring attention to the inspiring people in the cider community. Colleen is also a camera girl for The Three Guys and Cider and travels with them on all of their adventures!

One Cider At A Time

Kasia is a proud mother of two girls, a mini goldendoodle and happily married to my high school sweetheart. She lives in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.

Her life has been spent in the arts and education fields – with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Masters degree in Teaching (Dance). After training extensively in classical ballet and modern dance, she transitioned to teaching and have been teaching ballet professionally for years.

She first became enamored with ciders in 2017. Diagnosed with celiac disease, she became super diligent in reading labels on everything and during a routine visit to my local liquor chain she saw a can of cider with two bold statements which immediately grabbed her attention: Gluten free and Vegan. Needless to say that can (and a few of it’s friends), came home with her and she haven’t looked back since. She had previously been oblivious to the cider world and have since made it her mission to try as many different ciders she can and to connect with as many cideries and cider makers as possible. This is why when she started her Instagram account in December 2020 I had to name it @onecideratatime!

The Cider Critic

James Finch has been a champion of real cider through his blogs and vlogs for several years now as The Cider Critic. Writing for several online blogs including his own as well as local magazines. His quest, nay thirst, to seek out new drinks and producers and to hear and tell their stories, has led to the start of his own cider journey. Look out for Chapel Sider coming soon.

NE_Cider

I’m currently living in Rhode Island where every day is something new and exciting. When I’m not working with my students, you can find me on the beach, in my greenhouse, working to support local small businesses, or drinking cider of course! I also enjoy cabernet sauvignons and saisons as my drinks of choice.

I love that my cider Instagram can highlight a lot of great things New England has to offer. We have amazing cideries, beautiful weather, and plenty of fun things to do – how could I not show this off? There is really something that separates us from the rest and having the voice to be sharing that with other people is something I feel very grateful for.

Lauren works full-time in the medical field and first response, but on her days off she combines her love for cider sipping, photography and outdoor adventures. She is always thrilled to promote and support small or local businesses and enjoys encompassing that into her Instagram content and life.

Mylifeinciders

Nicole G. based in Hamilton, ON and has her cider account on Instagram because my friends kept hearing me talk about all of the flavours and brands I’ve tried but they wanted to see them. I also started taking photos to personally track what I liked and didn’t like and I started by posting in an album on Facebook to keep track. Of course, I have my favourites but I’m always looking for new ciders to try personally and then also for content.

My love of cider began during a semester abroad in England where I finally found a casual drink that wasn’t beer. I’ve been fortunate enough to live in the Pacific Northwest and then I also frequently travel to NY state so you will see ciders from both those places. I’ve tried 260+ different ciders so far and can’t wait to travel again to try more but I am thankful to have access to so many great options in Southern Ontario. I also don’t post photos with me in them simply because I’m camera shy but my profile pic is me in a cider bottle cut-out!

My Name is Tas and I am a cider reviewer from Ontario Canada you can catch my #ciderday reviews during the weekends. I am Canada’s cider scene rep and also a cider content writer for Wines in Niagara blog. I run a weekly IGTV show called “Cider & Life” where I chat with industry professionals and reviewers about drinks and world topics. I also am the creator of the #noappleogies project meant to empower women in the drink industry and create a safe, inclusive & diverse space for everyone!

I’m Ian, based in the south-west of England close to the heartland of cider making in the UK. I started drinking real cider around 10 years ago and started posting on IG a couple of years ago. I’m always seeking new and different ciders from around the UK, Europe and the US. When I’m not drinking cider, I work in healthcare and freelance as a writer/editor.

Ciderpedia

Chase Rochon is a hospitality professional and cider enthusiast currently living in his home state of Maine.  He fell in love with cider at an early age, finding the beverage when cider was still largely undiscovered and unexplored in America.  Although focusing on predominantly craft cocktails in his hospitality career, cider has always found its way into his bar programs.  He is now a partner in Craft Curbside, a hyperlocally-sourced restaurant and bottle shop located in Gray, Maine with a healthy supply of craft ciders.

CiderHunter

Born and bred in Rhode Island I’m an Apple enthusiast, and they’re absolutely my favorite fruit. When becoming an adult I discovered hard ciders from angry orchard to 1911 to Shacksbury I really just enjoyed the hunt for new and interesting ciders no matter if they were sweet, dry or not even made from apples I just love the discovery of all of the potential that ciders have provided within the last couple of years. That’s why I decided to become the cider Hunter the fun is in the hunt.

The Ciderverse

My name is Ben and I am an Australian now based in the north west of England. I have been a cider drinker for over a decade and love being able to find new exciting ciders from around the world. I have been working on my Instagram page The Ciderverse for the last 5 years as a way of keeping track of my cider journey and helping to promote all the incredible cider makers out there.

CiderGirlCo

CiderGirlCo. is something I created about 3 years ago to add to my, “cider world,” of already co-owning a cider mill and winery & brewery with my husband in Michigan.  It gives me another creative outlet to use cider as a theme to spread awareness and inspiration. 
I started the Instagram page to bring awareness to the brand, but also to check out what else was going on in the industries of cider and fashion.  It’s been a fun addition to my life so far, and I really look forward to creating in the future and sharing more on the page.
