If you have been paying attention to the fridge game and storing products like cider then you are likely familiar with Newair. In fact, we did a review with them for their anniversary fridge last year which you can read here. While we enjoyed that fridge its focus was mainly on cans and it had a beer fridge vibe. The latest product we are looking at is a 12-bottle wine cooler which has a sleek and tight design. Below we will break down the function of the product and what we thought about it.
Design & Features
To start off with the basics this wine cooler is a standalone design that can hold 12 bottles. The shelves are removable in case you had a larger bottle of wine or cider. There is an easy-to-access control panel that allows you to change the temperature between 41 and 64 degrees. Some coolers have multi-zone cooling temperatures but, due to the nature of the design, this is a single-zone cooling. Like all new-age products in the space, the inside is lit with LEDs that are blue, which gives it a cool factor when walking by. The compact design is the best feature of the product coming in under 10” wide and right under 32” high. Overall this has everything you need and expect from a wine cooler for the average user.
Function
We believe the best part about the fridge is not only the aesthetics that are clean but the overall form factor. The size of the cooler allows it to be placed anywhere in your home. We had it in our living room, basement, and even in an office to see which we liked best. It does not take up a ton of floor space so the options are endless depending on your needs. In regards to temperature control, it seems to hold its temperature well and has enough bottles to get you by for the average consumer’s collection. The removable racks are great in design as well as we had some larger format bottles that will only fit if some are removed, making this a versatile product.
Overall Impressions
This wine cooler is a must-have for small wine or cider collectors to store their nicer products. The clean design, extreme functionality, and what you see if what you get style are perfect for its function. If we were going to say any negatives it would be the single cooling zone but you could buy another model that had dual zones or buy 2 of these to take care of it. Make this the next birthday present for your drinking buddy!
