As summer progresses, we run into familiar faces & events that come up annually. Another one of these great Chicago cider-based events is upon us. That being the South Loop Beer & Cider Festival on Saturday, July 29th. The event will take place from 4-7:30 PM with 3 PM entry for those extra special VIP guests. This is the second year for the event in the beautiful Women’s Park and Gardens.
When picking a venue, there is no better selection. “The hidden gem that is the Women’s Park and Gardens is the perfect spot to enjoy a craft beer and cider festival,” said Zoe Jacobs, digital marketing coordinator for BrewFest Partners. “Of all the summer beer fests in Chicago, this one is definitely in the most unique and exciting location.”Formerly the Vietnam Veterans Museum, this 2.51 acres was converted in 2000 to honors the contributions women have made to the city of Chicago throughout its history while providing a quiet spot for the neighborhood.

Once inside this beautiful space, there will be craft beers to sample, food to purchase from local food trucks, and live music to enjoy. The best part of this festival is that it’s a benefit for the Chicago Women’s Park and Gardens, co-produced by BrewFest Partners and the Prairie District Neighborhood Alliance. To support a great space and a great organization, you can get tickets today.
Tickets are on sales now and will be similar to last year’s breakdown. VIP tickets are $79 and include 1-hour early admission, 35 drinking tokens, a VIP lanyard, commemorative beer stein, and access to the VIP Gardens (including rare beer/cider samples and some light food). General admission is $49.00 and includes entry, a pint glass, and 25 drinking tokens. There are, of course, designated driver tickets for sale, too.
