The first event is the brand new Chicago’s South Loop Beer & Cider Fest. This event will take place on Saturday, August 6 in Women’s Park, 1801 S Indiana Ave from 4PM to 7:30 PM, with VIP’s getting in an hour early. The main offering will be an array of beer and hard ciders mostly located in the Midwest. General admission tickets will be sold for $49 and include: entry, a sampling glass, and 25 sampling tokens. VIP tickets are $79 and will include: 1 hour early admission to the festival, 35 sampling tokens, a VIP lanyard, commemorative beer stein, and access to the VIP garden that will include rare beer & cider, as well as private restrooms. Yeah, those VIP’s get to pee in a toilet of gold… or something like that. If you are going to be in attendance, be sure to check out: Ferro Farm Cidery, Misbeehavin Meads, Virtue Cider, Right Bee Cider, and, of course, you friends at CiderScene! Just send us a message on Instagram and we can make plans to meet. We are friendly folks, I promise, even after 25 samples. The event is hosted by our friends at Brewfest Partners. Make sure to buy your tickets on Eventbrite. For more information, go to http://www.southloopbeerfest.com/.
The second event we will be covering is the Milwaukee Cider & Nano Beer Festival at Schlitz Park, 1543 N. 2nd. Street, Milwaukee, WI on OCT 1st. The even will feature more than 40 craft beer, cider and mead makers from 1PM to 4:30PM. Other than the copious amounts of alcoholic treats, there will be live entertainment and local food vendors with food for purchase. General admission tickets are $45 and will include a 3oz sampling glass. VIP tickets are $65 and will get you in an hour early, include the glass, specialty beer and cider offerings, light appetizers, and a lanyard. These events should be a good time, so make yourself useful and come out to show your support! We will be doing post-event coverage in future posts so keep it locked on CiderScene. Cider on!
