Three Guys recently filmed at Applewood Winery. While it may sound like they just make wine, there is much more for your drinking hands. They make wine under the Applewood name, but their cider and mead brand goes under a different name, Naked Flock. To get a better sense of their cider and mead business, we looked to Jonathan & Dylan, the owners, to explain the business and their goals.
“Our secret, our passion, is to create ciders and meads made with 100% locally sourced New York State fruits and honey that are gluten free and contain no artificial flavorings or added sugars. Our philosophy is to make hard cider without compromise, stripped bare, Naked and pure. This cider is made for people who crave unique flavor and are on the hunt for quality.
In our tasting room we always have several small batch ciders and meads on tap. Get a pint or flight and try them all. We are constantly rotating our cider with our seasonal specials. We also make craft cider cocktails using unique and fun ingredients so you can see how versatile hard cider can be.”
Three Guys got to spend time with hysterical father/son duo, Jonathan and Dylan. They shared a bunch of laughs, dad jokes, cider, and mead.
They also had the opportunity to see Naked Flock’s staff in action for a bit, and it was refreshing to see how their entire crew treats everyone like family.
