November 9, 2016Take your favorite breaky-breaky foods and smash them into the sweet cider flavors. Look at that, the perfect breakfast was born! And, as it is the most important meal of the day, we might as well let you know how to make your own Ciderboys Pancake Breakfast Recipe.
To make the Cider Boys Apple compote, take 1/4 cup Cider Boys First Press Hard Cider, 2-3 Medium Gala apples peeled (cored and sliced), 1/4 cup brown sugar, 1 tsp ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp ground ginger, Pinch of chardonnay smoked sea salt.
Peel, core, and slice apples. Place all ingredients in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer. Let simmer until liquid reduces by half and thickens, approx. 30 minutes.
To make the Cider Boys Hard Cider Pancakes, take 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp Baking Powder, 1 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 egg, 1/4 cup milk, 1/3 cup Cider Boys First Press Hard Cider, a pinch of salt. Combine all dry ingredients in a bowl. Mix milk, cider, and egg. Add wet mix to dry and whisk thoroughly. Let sit for 5 minutes; batter will double in size. Whisk again before pouring onto skillet. Cook a minute or two per side.
To make the Maple Whipped Butter, take 4 tbsp of butter at room temperature and 1 tbsp room temp maple syrup. Whip maple syrup into room temperature butter for 1-2 minutes. Now, chill the butter for 5-10 mins.
Serve the pancakes with the maple butter and apple compote.
