Chicken & Brussel Sprouts with 1911 Cider Mustard Sauce
March 28, 2018These droll months of cold weather and hot drinks lead most of us into repetitious, easy meals that live without character. Where are the summer flavors? Where is the calling from the sea telling us to find our beach and find sunny glory?
Nothing warms us up like the bold flavors of glazed shrimp. A calling to the grill when the weather outside is frightful. And what can bring this treat up a notch? Honey cider glazed shrimp. We have a simple, quick shrimp recipe to get you ready for the summer and ready for more cider!
Take out shrimp. If necessary, remove the shell and veins.
Chop green onions, garlic, and ginger (if not ground).
In a pot over high heat add cider, honey, vinegar, chili flakes, garlic and ginger.
Bring to boil stirring continuously.
Cook until bubbles subside and mixture turns thick and glossy.
Skewer shrimp. Take the glaze you have created and brush across the skewered shrimp.
Salt shrimp and grill on medium/low heat until cooked, approximately 2 minutes per side.
Brush with additional glaze and sprinkle with chopped green onions. Plate the skewers.
